The village of Montbrun les Bains consists of two parts. In the old part, with its picturesque alleyways, you will find the ruins of a feudal stronghold. These are a Roman church and bell tower which was part of the fortress walls. You will find the fountains of La Justice and Du Bourreau in the walls. They will tell you the story and legends of this village.
In the lower, modern part of Montbrun les Bains are shops, restaurants and a post office. It was chosen as one of France’s most beautiful villages between Avignon and Sisteron, in the heart of a region where nature is always in full bloom. Situated at the foot of Mont Ventoux, Montbrun les Bains has an average of 240 sunny days a year. The region blossoms in various ways. Man has adapted well to the natural habitat, which has remained virtually untouched.
